The Didsbury Arena is currently under going an extensive renovation of the ice surface and boards with the ice ready for December 11th. Due to the updated Covid 19 restrictions and the Christmas break from December 21st- January 3rd we have chosen to start our regular season programs on Monday January 4th. We have set up the first registration payment as the skate Canada fee the first registration payment itself on January 15th, 2021.
The DFSC will follow all guidelines set out by Alberta Health Services regarding COVID 19. Our season is tentatively planned as below. Refunds will be offered if we are unable to run our season based on these recommendations.

CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.
New for the 2020/2021 season is a CanSkate Parent & Tot session. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions any skater who is unable to skate on their own will require a parent to help them move around due to restrictions with social distancing. If your child is one who may need a little more assistance you can register for this class and still partake during our regular season. This will run during the same times as our regular CanSkate class.
Ages: 4+
Price based on 9 weeks of skating. Prorated refunds will be offered for any over payment

ITS (Intro to STARSkate)

ITS (Introduction to STARSkate) is the next step for your skater. Includes group lessons. Private lessons can be booked an additional cost.
Price based on 9 weeks of skating.

Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about!
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Skaters who have mastered figure skating skills in STARSkate may also choose to pursue synchronized skating or pairs skating
